The story: Known as the “Witches Thanksgiving,” the harvest moon is a time of reflection, balance, and abundance in preparation for the colder months ahead. Just like the leaves on the trees, fall is symbolic for letting go, allowing us to release what no longer serves us. Follow the spell below from Wicked Mystics to help you prepare for harvest season!
A Spell for Letting Go: To release old habits or negativity during the equinox, you can perform a letting-go spell. Write down on a piece of paper what you wish to release, fold it, and place it in a fire-safe dish. Light a black candle and, as the flame burns, focus on letting go of whatever is holding you back. When you are ready, burn the paper in the flame, visualizing the old energy dissolving into the universe. Once the paper has completely burned, extinguish the candle and feel the sense of freedom and lightness that comes with letting go.

Candle Safety + Care
- The first burn is the most important! Allow your candle to burn until the wax melt pool reaches the edges of the jar to keep the wax from "tunneling."
- NEVER burn your candle for more than 3-4 hours. This will cause it to burn too hot and too fast.
- Trim your wick to 1/4" before each burn. Get yourself a good wick trimmer, or a pair of scissors will do. This will prevent the wick from "mushrooming" aka carbon buildup that may contribute to an uneven burn or a tall, smoky flame.
- Burn your candle on a heat resistant surface away from wagging tails, sticky toddler fingers, drafty windows, and flammable objects. Never leave a candle unattended.
- Once there's 1/4 in. of wax left, it's time for a new one! We recommend repurposing the jar for cotton swabs, homemade jam, or random coins.

Handcrafted, Natural Goods
Our wax is 100% natural USA grown soy which means there may be some imperfections such as frosting, sinkholes, uneven surfaces, and wet spots. This is all totally normal for soy wax and does not effect the candle's performance at all. In fact, it's an indicator that it is indeed pure soy!
Due to the nature of this handmade product, it is subject to flaws like off-center wicks, crooked labels. No two batches of candles are totally identical.
