Did anyone else's seasonal gloom finally lift over the last week? The mornings have been chilly and crisp. The afternoon sun burns bright, warming our backs on lunchtime walks. Kids playing outside again. And the straight up dump that is our backyards needs tending to.
Here's a roundup of my picks for spring:
Aurora: Inspired by Ostara, the ancient Germanic goddess of dawn and spring. This fragrance tells the story of Ostara and the Hare from which many of our Easter traditions are derived.
Notes of invigorating citrus like clementine and orange blend with grounding herbals and tomato leaf. It smells like a farmers market in a jar.
Nightbloom: Another goddess of spring! There's room for them all at our table as far as I'm concerned. Nightbloom's story comes from one of my favorite tales of romance and Greek myth, Hades and Persephone.
This bestseller is a sultry, sweet blend of moonflower, pear, and agave. The perfect pairing with whatever fairy smut/hockey romance you've been reading.
I just learned about hockey romance. It's a thing.
Cottagecore: A calming blend of airy freesia, soft linen, and white tea, this fragrance is SUCH a good spring floral for those who don't like an in-your-face flower scent. It's one of Wicked Flicker's most underrated scents but one of my original blends that I recommend to people time and time again.
Today, 3/21 until Sunday 3/23 you can get these three fragrances for 15% off with code ringinspring
Currently Reading... Midnight is the Darkest Hour, Ashley Winstead
A skull is found in the swamp in Bottom Springs Louisiana. An unlikely friendship between the preacher's daughter and the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. This story navigates small town secrets, the power of reputation, and protecting the ones we love the most.
I've been listening to this one in audiobook format and I don't really like it but I also can't stop listening to it?? This book has been a bit surprising from this author (In My Dreams I Hold a Knife). It's a thriller that's a sort-of romance(ish) and has a LOT of Twilight references. It's been a slog but I hate the main character so much that I just want to see her win in the end.
